- Managing Multi-Year Major Gifts in NPSP
Jim Koulias (Center for Ecoliteracy)This Trailblazer is looking for advice on how to track a Major Gift Opportunity that spans multiple years while keeping the Household account’s Total Gifts accurate. Their current approach (linking a 5-year recurring donation to the Major Gift) records both the original pledge amount and each payment, inflating the cumulative total on the Household record. They’re looking for guidance on best practices to correctly reflect multi-year pledges without double-counting in NPSP. Share your thoughts!

Great Ideas for Nonprofits Using Salesforce
- Education Cloud: Allow Fractional Values for Hours Attempted on Academic Term Enrollment
Charles Mercadal (Charles Mercadal)This idea calls for updating the HoursAttempted field on Academic Term Enrollment in Education Cloud to allow fractional values (e.g., 14.5 hours) instead of only whole numbers. Currently, the field’s integer setting makes it hard to accurately track students’ attempted hours for courses with partial credit, forcing workarounds. Vote for this idea if you think it could help institutions record student course loads more accurately and reduce extra administrative work!
